Convento del Viandante del Cielo, former monastery of the Minor Capuchin Friars, first established in 1566 is located in Passignano sul Trasimeno in the vicinity of Umbria known as the home of St. Francis of Assisi. The 60-acre estate stands today as it has for more than four centuries, perched on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno and surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Designed according to the tenets of functional devotional simplicity, it was built as a safe haven and respite for pilgrims on their journey to the Holy City. 

Today the Estate has been fully restored with an impressive array of modern amenities and state-of- the-art facilities, and stands as a magnificent testament to history and a commitment to the future.
